Ghoul’s Gift of Life Blood Drive: A Quiet Day, But a Noble Cause
Today at the UU, we hosted the Ghoul’s Gift of Life Blood Drive—a heartfelt effort to bring our community together in support of something truly life-giving. While the turnout wasn’t what we’d hoped for, the spirit behind the event remains strong.
As fate would have it, the No Kings protest march swept through town today, drawing crowds and attention away from our little corner of compassion. It’s hard to compete with a movement, and we understand that people had their reasons. Still, we choose to give folks the benefit of the doubt—after all, standing up for justice and showing up for others are both acts of care.
To those who did come: thank you. Your donation means more than you know. For those who couldn’t make it, there’s always next time—and we hope you’ll consider rolling up your sleeve when the opportunity arises again.
The Ghoul’s Gift of Life isn’t just about blood—it’s about community, resilience, and the quiet power of showing up. Even on a day when the world was loud, we held space for something gentle and vital.
Until next time, stay kind, stay curious, and keep giving—however you can.
