The Perseids are one of the brighter meteor showers of the year. They occur every year between July 17 and August 24 and tend to peak around August 9-13. The peak viewing night for Las Vegas in 2024 is August 11th - the visibility is listed as excellent this year, with up to 100 meteors per hour!
We will meet in Cold Creek starting at 6:00pm, giving time for everyone to arrive and get set up. Time and Date* cites 8:35pm as Nautical Twilight - That's when we'll have opportunity to start seeing the sky show!
Last  year was a big success, so we plan to do it again! We will be providing:
